Well said"...of course, look who said it.

"Screw you"...I don't rally think you're my type, and besides I'm married...happily....for the last 36 years

"I'm voting independent today." I always vote independently, as I claim absolutely no party affiliation. I have voted Democrat, Republican and Independent during my voting lifetime.

Of course, if I get confused I simply "Play Dead". I highly recommend this oldie, but goody to get you in touch with "the spiritual part".

Constantly and evil being the important words.

Some of you remind me of a cynic named Lou Reed, who hasn't had that much to offer so far himself.

You can sit back and let the coalition that takes away freedoms and starts phony wars -- that's your choice. But make no mistake, letting the evil-doers win by small margins is not noble.

Blocking a fire by using a firebreak can work. That's not to say that the current coalition vying for attention is totally worthy, but at least Obama isn't pickled in corruption like many of them. It's our job to do more than just vote and leave it.

Creating a little breathing room so more serious people can TRY getting humanity out of this mess is not evil. TRYING doesn't mean you're a Foolish Heart. This isn't voting for Democrats automatically.

I was just looking at Galatians:
("These are the horns of the dilemma." from
http://arts.ucsc.edu/gdead/agdl/votc.html)

For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.

Let's not get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest-if we do not give up.

Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Enough dancing around and distorting reality, bring back bluedevil, at least is reasonable

1. Tell me what freedoms you have lost, I want to hear how your life has changed. I am thinking back since I was a child and only administration that ever screwed anything up was carter.

2. Phony wars? Like vietnam that jfk and lbj so successfully orchestrated? Do you watch the actual news? Aside from huffington post and msnbc? Ones that acutally show actual events live and in their entirety and put on pundits from both sides? Did you not watch the UN resolutions and coalition of countries involved in the phony war? Are the female suicide bombers there imaginery? Are you kidding?

3. Obama is not pickled in corruption??????????????

ACORN
FANNIE MAE
REZKO

Sorry I don't feel like googling more and the rest of his associates on the tip of my tongue are just racists and murderers but I don't think they are corrupt like rangel.

4. Damn, stock market rallied this morning. Hopefully more people's lives will be destroyed so your guy can win. All obama has to do is make a decision as to what to do, but for some reason he hasn't. He even admits not putting out a strategy until he hears maccains so he can make an opposing policy, what if the other guy is right? Do you ever admit it? Like the surge? Mccain going after fannie mae years ago? No on watches CSPAN????

5. Your biblical rhetoric again comes from a cherry picking strategy of using what you like and throwing out the rest. A book of fables and mythology has no place in government or politics, right? Especially when your pastor is a racist socialist, but if you like biblical phrases I made some for you:

May you go about weeping and wailing in sackcloth and ashes, thou bull of Bashan!

Take heed, thou whose name is but dung, for you will be as welcome as a fart in the queen's bedchamber!

Behold, thou shalt be trampled by a herd of stampeding pigs, thou exceedingly foolish virgin!

I pray thou shalt beget difficult teenagers, thou dabbler in abominations!

Woe unto thee, O ye who art a byword for idiocy, for you will become as popular as a boil on the king's backside!

Forum: GratefulDead Subject: lesser of two weevils

This high moral principle was reduced to the finest pun in Patrick O’Brien’s The Fortune of War when Captain Jack Aubrey notes two weevils emerging from a piece of hardtack and asks his colleague, Stephen Maturin, which of the two weevils he would select. Maturin ultimately decides on the larger of the two, falling into Aubrey’s trap and receiving the reprimand that in “the Service one must always choose the lesser of two weevils.”
